NEWS BREAK : Obama Gets "Peace" of the pie!

Although I am generally a Conservative, this article is not politically biased. It’s just simply an “Are You Friggen’ Kidding Me?” in itself, and is not aimed at defaming or dishonoring the President in any way.

According to Alfred Nobel’s will, the Peace Prize should be awarded “to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.

The nomination deadline was February 1st, 2009, and Barack Obama received his nomination less than two weeks prior to that (a few days after he took office as President of The United States). Now I know that I am not alone in thinking that he did not deserve this award, yet. But in 2-3 days? People spend their lives dedicated to this cause that entitles them to an award of this magnitude. Here’s a recent online poll:

I guess the statement that President Obama made, “”the time has come to move determinately forward” had a great impact of what he “says he will do, rather than “what he has done”.
Here’s a look at Obama’s political career…

* Obama won a seat in the Illinois state Senate in 1996. During his time there he worked on welfare and ethics issues.

* Obama won a heavily contested U.S. Senate seat in 2004, carrying 53 percent of the Democratic primary vote in an eight-candidate race. He easily won the general election as well. In the U.S. Senate he compiled a liberal voting record, but was one of the few Democrats to back a measure on class-action lawsuits.

Okay, now does that qualify you to receive such an award (even coupled with the statement he made above). I can think of a dozen people (whom I don’t even like) that are much more deserving of this award based on what they “HAVE” done, not promises of what they “MIGHT” do.
A THOUGHT: I will give the man a fair chance to prove that he can live up to what this award signifies. However, I still disagree that he should have received it BEFORE he did anything to earn it. Now the pressure is really on.

About Chase Morgan
Chase Morgan is just your average, ordinary All-American writer. Chase began writing several years ago, but never published anything until the "Are You Friggen' Kidding Me?" blog launched in August of 2009. Chase simply got tired of standing around and just observing all of the craziness in the world, so this anxious writer sat down and wrote the first "Are YOu Friggen' Kidding Me?" article on August 19th, 2009. Now, any time something makes Chase say, "Are You Friggen' Kidding Me?", the issue get's transformed into an article. Chase is currently single, homeless and living under a bridge in South Florida.
