"Dumbass Award" : April 2010

April’s Dumbass Award isn’t going to an individual this month. Instead it goes to a radical group : The Hysterical Race-Baiters.

Just when you think that things can’t get any nuttier, think again…

By now we’ve all heard the Leftist meme vis. the Arizona immigration bill: it is a dress rehearsal for a brown Holocaust, and anyone who supports the bill is a racist/Nazi/KKK-wannabe. (LMAO!)

Life is too short to catalogue every hyperbolic assertion, every histrionic placard, and every paranoid, hateful bleating that issues from the Left on this topic. If you need a sampling, ramble over to HuffPo and have a laugh.

Not to spoil the pity party on the Left (we all know how much they enjoy working themselves into a self-righteous froth, however little said froth is fact-based), or deprive the DNC of another opportunity to separate Leftist fools from their money, but… Get a grip. Seriously.

George “Will says Arizona law merely echoes federal immigration statutes,” a claim that Politifact finds mostly true.

As the always brilliant and hilarious Mark Steyn points out: Who would impose such an outrageous Nazi fascist discriminatory law? Er, well, that would be Franklin Roosevelt.

But don’t let the fine print of the New Deal prevent you from going into full-scale meltdown. “Boycott Arizona-stan!” urges MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann, surely a trifle Islamophobically. What has some blameless Central Asian basket case done to deserve being compared to a hellhole like Phoenix?

The term manufactured outrage is becoming redundant where the Left is concerned–because, as Dennis Prager has noted: “Few liberal activist groups tell the truth. Not because their members are liars–in private life they may well be as honest as anyone else–but because whatever the left advocates it deems more important than truth.”

And when truth takes a back seat to political expediency, that is a lot more Nazi-like than anything in the Arizona immigration enforcement bill.

About Chase Morgan
Chase Morgan is just your average, ordinary All-American writer. Chase began writing several years ago, but never published anything until the "Are You Friggen' Kidding Me?" blog launched in August of 2009. Chase simply got tired of standing around and just observing all of the craziness in the world, so this anxious writer sat down and wrote the first "Are YOu Friggen' Kidding Me?" article on August 19th, 2009. Now, any time something makes Chase say, "Are You Friggen' Kidding Me?", the issue get's transformed into an article. Chase is currently single, homeless and living under a bridge in South Florida.
