Couple Arrested Christmas Eve for Flipping Off Motorists

Nothing quite says Christmas like a drunk couple giving the bird to strangers as they drive by. Brings back fond memories from your childhood, doesn’t it?

You know this pair was really hammered because one of them was arrested for making a fake 911 call while they were being processed by the cops. In the end, both were charged with a variety of non-holiday related offenses.

A man and a woman were charged with several misdemeanors in connection with an altercation with police on Christmas Eve in Sandwich.  About 6 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 100 block of East College Street for a report of intoxicated people giving motorists the middle finger, according to a Sandwich police release.

When officers arrived at the scene, they confronted Brian P. Carlsen, 36, of the 300 block of Wilshire Drive in Sandwich, and Jessica A. Chaplin, 28, of the same address, the release said. Police arrested Carlsen after he threw chunks of snow at a house and placed Chaplin under arrested after she became irate at officers and began swearing at them while refusing to cooperate with their commands, according to the release.
