There’s Nothing Like Drinking On The Job!

Everyone inside the Lion Inn at Blakey Ridge, Kirkbymoorside, North Yorks, England, at the start of a snowstorm were stuck there for nine days. Snow drifts were up to 16′ deep, burying everyone’s cars. Spirits remained high largely because the seven people trapped in the pub shared a bar equipped to serve 150 people. They all slept in an attached B&B, and there was a good stock of coal for heat. But the novelty wore off.

“They’re all out trying to dig their cars out,” said waitress Katie Underwood, 18. Katie, two chefs, and two other bar staff have been tending to just two customers: a couple on holiday.

A THOUGHT: The good part: – Plenty of provisions. The bad part – Only one couple to pay the fortnight’s bar bill.

About Chase Morgan
Chase Morgan is just your average, ordinary All-American writer. Chase began writing several years ago, but never published anything until the "Are You Friggen' Kidding Me?" blog launched in August of 2009. Chase simply got tired of standing around and just observing all of the craziness in the world, so this anxious writer sat down and wrote the first "Are YOu Friggen' Kidding Me?" article on August 19th, 2009. Now, any time something makes Chase say, "Are You Friggen' Kidding Me?", the issue get's transformed into an article. Chase is currently single, homeless and living under a bridge in South Florida.
