At the obvious level, you have to be disgusted with what Arnold McDermott, 76, was doing to a 15-year-old girl he befriended, trading prescription drugs with her for sex. On another level, you can’t be surprised that the senior citizen would brag to police when the came to arrest him And, looking at this mug shot, you can tell he’s not that upset about you knowing about what he was up to.

A 76-year-old Volusia County man who was arrested today allegedly bragged about having sex with a teen girl, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Arnold McDermott of DeBary is accused of repeatedly trading prescription pills for sex with a teenage girl, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said. The girl was 15 at the time, officials said.

Witnesses told investigators the two were seen naked in McDermott’s swimming pool at his house on Colomba Road and sleeping together in McDermott’s bedroom.  McDermott was charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor and lewd or lascivious battery.
