Iced Justice

Raquel Nelson, 30, was crossing the street with her children in Marietta, Ga., when a car ran over her 4-year-old boy. The boy was killed; the driver sped off. Driver Jerry L. Guy already had two convictions for hit-and-run driving, including one with a serious injury. He admitted he had been drinking prior to the accident. He pleaded guilty to hit-and-run driving, and served only 6 months in jail.

But Raquel Nelson (the mother) is facing up to three years in prison as Raquel was not in a crosswalk as she led her children across the street. She has been convicted of jaywalking and, therefore, homicide by vehicle.

A THOUGHT: Justice may have been served, but it was served cold.

About Chase Morgan
Chase Morgan is just your average, ordinary All-American writer. Chase began writing several years ago, but never published anything until the "Are You Friggen' Kidding Me?" blog launched in August of 2009. Chase simply got tired of standing around and just observing all of the craziness in the world, so this anxious writer sat down and wrote the first "Are YOu Friggen' Kidding Me?" article on August 19th, 2009. Now, any time something makes Chase say, "Are You Friggen' Kidding Me?", the issue get's transformed into an article. Chase is currently single, homeless and living under a bridge in South Florida.
